NYT Predicts Upcoming Border Changes

In this week's Sunday opinion, NY Times predicted that we are on the brink of a flurry of border changes, brought on by new countries developed from splinter groups breaking off, mergers, territory acquisition. "We appear on the brink of yet another nation-state baby boom."

Naturally, as mapmakers we always watch for change in international borders.

In 2011, when South Sudan became a nation, Map Resources updated boundaries on hundreds of maps, and created maps of the new country.

New England MCD Maps

Each MCD is separate object

You can now get maps of New England with Minor Civil Divisions.

Minor civil division (MCD) is a term used by the United States Census Bureau to designate administrative divisions such as townships or incorporated municipalities and towns.

In Illustrator, each MCD is a separate object you can select and change the color. All text is fully editable font text (not outlines). Use as-is, or color the MCDs to show sales territories.

These unique maps are available for each state, or for the region.
